Technical data of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series interface on the web

The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series have been detailed in a new leak. The latest development suggests the specifications of the Galaxy S21 as well as the Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The details of the Galaxy S21 series color variants have also been leaked. Depending on the market, the new models should have Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 and Exynos 2100 SoC as two processor options. The new-series Galaxy S21 Ultra is also rumored to debut with one of the best smartphone displays and feature an upgraded camera setup that includes a telephoto lens to support 10x optical zoom.

In terms of specs, Android Police reports that the Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 +, and Galaxy S21 Ultra run on an Android 11-based user interface 3.1 and contain either Snapdragon 875 or Exynos 2100 SoC. The Galaxy S21 is also said to have a 6.2-inch Full HD + LTPS display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, while the Galaxy S21 + has a 6.7-inch Full HD + LTPS display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In contrast, the Galaxy S21 Ultra should have a 6.8-inch WQHD + LTPO display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra should also offer up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness and a contrast ratio of 3,000,000: 1. These are upgrades over the 1,400 nits peak brightness and 2,000,000: 1 contrast ratio that are available for the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + are said to have a triple rear camera with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 64-megapixel telephoto shooter. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to have a 108-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom and a 10-megapixel telephoto Shooter with 10x optics has zooming.

Samsung is said to offer 130 percent larger pixels for both 3x and 10x telephoto shooters, which enable the optical zoom of the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The phone is also set to revive the 100x space zoom, which was unveiled on the Galaxy S20 Ultra earlier this year. A tipster, known on Twitter under the pseudonym Ice Universe, said that both telephoto shooters on the Galaxy S21 Ultra allow the most powerful optical zoom system and camera with a pixel size of 1.22 micron pixels.

Similar to the Google Pixel phones, Android Police reports that the Galaxy S21 series can automatically switch between 30 and 60 frames per second, depending on the lighting conditions. The new models should also offer support for 4K / 60fps video recordings. In addition, the phones could offer a dual recording mode which allows video recording through the front and rear cameras at the same time.

According to the leak, the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + will both have 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.1. However, the Galaxy S21 Ultra could improve connectivity even further with faster Wi-Fi 6E support. The Galaxy S21 + and the Galaxy S21 Ultra should also support Ultra Wide Band (UWB).

On the battery front, the Samsung Galaxy S21 should have a 4,000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S21 + should have a 4,800 mAh battery and the Galaxy S21 Ultra a 5,000 mAh battery. All three models are also said to have fast charging support of at least 25 W.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to have S Pen support, confirming a previous report. However, the phone does not come with an S-pen, but includes optional cases that should provide space for the S-pen. This is different from the Galaxy Note series with built-in S Pen support.

The prices for the Galaxy S21 series have not yet been determined.
