Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag, a tile-like tracker, may be in the pipeline

Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag, a Tile-like tracker, may be in the works. A device with the model number EI-T5300 was reportedly discovered on an Indonesian telecommunications certification website. The list does not contain any information about the device other than the name. During the launch of the Galaxy Note 20 series, Samsung introduced the SmartThings Find feature, which allows you to find your Galaxy devices quickly and easily. It uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Ultra-Broadband (UWB) technologies to find select Galaxy smartphones, tablets, earbuds and smartwatches. Smart Tag allows you to keep the trackers in things like your wallet or keys so you can find them around the house too.

After this Tweet The well-known tipster Mukul Sharma discovered a Samsung device with the name “Galaxy Smart Tag” on the Indonesian telecommunications certification website. It supposedly comes with a model number of EL-T5300 and no additional information is included in the listing.

The Galaxy Smart Tag is said to offer similar functions as the Tile-Tracker with small tags that can be placed anywhere or attached to important places so that you can always know where the object is. They can also emit a sound or beep to make it easier for the user to find the device when it is nearby. The tile tracker can be placed next to your keys, remote controls, or other devices that may have been misplaced.

Samsung announced the SmartThings Find service in October, which makes it quick and easy to find Galaxy devices. It runs on Android 8 or higher devices and uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Ultra-Broadband (UWB). It helps locate devices like smartphones, tablets and smartwatches or every single earbud. It works even when the device is offline. If you report your device as lost via SmartThings Find, a nearby Galaxy smartphone or tablet that has chosen to help can inform the Samsung server of its location and you will receive a notification.

As of now, Samsung has not shared any information about the rumored Galaxy Smart Tag.
