Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra with S Pen support

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, which is said to be one of the Galaxy S21 series phones, could support S Pen. A well-known tipster announced on Twitter that the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is equipped with S Pen support. However, no further details were given. The South Korean tech giant has yet to release any official information about the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra or the Galaxy S21 series. If the latest tip turns out to be true, the future of the Galaxy Note series may become uncertain.

Well-known Tipster Ice Universe tweeted The fact that the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is supported 100 percent supports the S Pen. It is unclear what “support” actually means here – whether the phone has a slot for the S Pen like the Galaxy Note series or whether the Galaxy S21 Ultra can use the inputs of the S Pen with low latency. So far, Samsung has stopped supporting S Pen only for its Galaxy Note series.

ONE report by SamMobile mentions that the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will be equipped with a digitizer under the display so that it can record input from the S Pen. If this turns out to be the case and the Galaxy S21 Ultra has S Pen support, the differences between the flagship Galaxy S and the flagship Galaxy Note series are even smaller.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra was recently equipped with a 2K display with QHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. SamMobile’s report suggests that these screen specs may be the reason Samsung decided to add a digitizer to the phone as it offers an even better experience for pen users compared to a 1080p 120Hz display.

This is not the first time that the Galaxy S21 Ultra had S Pen support back in August. This was reported in a Korean publication.
