Samsung Galaxy M12 Goes Into Mass Production In India: Report

The Samsung Galaxy M12 has reportedly gone into mass production in India, suggesting a launch can be expected soon. The phone popped up on various certification and benchmark websites indicating possible specifications. The Galaxy M12 is reportedly manufactured at Samsung’s Noida facility. The phone is going to be a budget-friendly offering with a huge battery, as shown by previous leaks. As of now, the company has not released any official information about the Galaxy M12.

Samsung has started mass production of the alleged Galaxy M12 smartphone at its Noida factory reported by 91Mobiles. While there’s no launch date for the phone just yet, the report says it might be around the corner. The Samsung Galaxy M12 is expected to be a sequel to the Galaxy M11, which was launched in India back in June. The Samsung Galaxy M11 has a 5,000 mAh battery and the Galaxy M12 is expected to have a massive 7,000 mAh battery.

Last month it was reported that the Galaxy M12 (may be available as the Galaxy F12 in some regions) will feature a 6.7-inch display with a cut-out hole for the selfie camera. However, alleged depictions of the phone shared by Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as OnLeaks, showed the phone with a notch instead. The renderings also showed a square camera module on the back as well as a fingerprint scanner. There could also be a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.

The Galaxy M12 may come with a 7,000 mAh battery, Bluetooth 5.0 support, and Android 11 ready to go. One of the variants could come with 3 GB of RAM.

Earlier this month, the rumored phone was spotted on a Geekbench list, suggesting the presence of the Exynos 850 SoC as seen in the Galaxy A21.

Samsung has not officially announced a release date or pricing information for the Galaxy M12.
