Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro has leaked the surface

Samsung has just launched the true Galaxy Buds Live wireless headphones. However, reports indicate that the company’s next true wireless earbuds are already well on their way. It is now very likely that the upcoming true wireless headphones will be called Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro and will return to a more traditional, in-canal fit design. The pair are expected to come with premium features like active noise cancellation and wireless charging for the case. Thanks to tipster Evan Blass, we are now taking a first look at the rumored Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro.

A new report on voice by Evan Blass shows leaked renders of Samsung’s upcoming true wireless headphones. A recent report suggested that the headphones were labeled the Galaxy Buds Pro and the Voice report seems to suggest the same thing. The pictures supposedly show the real wireless headphones themselves as well as the charging case in a seemingly new gray color option.

The images hint at an important point about the Galaxy Buds Pro: the earbuds have a proper fit in the canal, with Samsung quickly moving away from its unique bean-like design of the Galaxy Buds Live. The design doesn’t lend itself well to the active noise cancellation feature, and a traditional fit in the duct likely provides better passive sound isolation.

The large microphone grids on the earbuds also indicate the likelihood that the Galaxy Buds Pro has active noise cancellation. Given that the Galaxy Buds Live offers this, it has always been likely that the next true wireless headset from Samsung would continue this feature, especially since this is a major trend in the premium segment for true wireless devices.

Brands like Apple, Sony, Jabra, and Sennheiser all have true, in-channel, in-channel fit wireless headphones with active noise cancellation, and Samsung is actually a little late by comparison. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro is expected to be launched in January 2021 together with the Galaxy S21 smartphone series. It’s too early to comment on the pricing, but Samsung could keep the price of the new headphones at Rs. 15,000 while reducing the prices of existing models like Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Buds + true wireless headphones.
