Redmi Note 9T was spotted on the NBTC certification page and is slated to launch this month

Redmi Note 9T has been exposed to several rumors for a while now, and new certification from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) suggests it could be a rebranded model of the Redmi Note 9 5G that was launched in China last week . Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G models in China. Redmi Note 9 5G is expected to be launched in markets other than Redmi Note 9T. NBTC certification suggests that Redmi Note 9T may be launched in Thailand in the future.

Tipper Abhishek Yadav tweeted that Redmi Note 9T is listed on Thailand’s NBTC certification page, suggesting a future launch in the region. The phone is listed with the model number M2007J22G. Recently launched in China, the Redmi Note 9 5G has the model number M2007J22C and its global variant is likely to have the model number M2007J22G. This therefore leads to speculation that Redmi Note 9 5G could be launched as Redmi Note 9T in world markets. Yadav further claims the latter could roll out globally sometime this month.

Previous reports also suggest that Redmi Note 9T is expected to be launched in India as well. It was recently discovered on the Certification Body of the Standards and Industry Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM), suggesting a launch in several Asian markets. The IMEI number for Redmi Note 9T has also reportedly been registered with the C-DOT CEIR IMEI review, which means the phone will hit the Indian market along with other regions.

In addition to the Redmi Note 9 5G China model, the Redmi Note 9 4G variant introduced in China is also to be introduced in India. It is expected to be renamed Redmi 9 Power for the Indian market.
