Redmi Note 9 variant with a high refresh rate for the display

The Redmi Note 9 series has been exposed to multiple tips and leaks in the past few weeks. Now, a tipster on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo claimed that the basic variant of a new model in the Redmi Note 9 series may have a hole cutout in the upper left corner of the screen and a high refresh rate. Recently it was reported that the Redmi Note 9 series could get three new phones, one of which may have a 108 megapixel primary snapper, a first for the Xiaomi sub-brand.

Well-known tipsters Digital Chat Station sent on Weibo that the lower-positioned new Redmi Note 9 model in the series could have a hole-punch cutout in the upper-left corner of the display to accommodate the selfie camera. The post noted that the cutout appears to be a bit larger than usual, at around 3.9mm in diameter. The tipster also claimed that the display had a high refresh rate.

Formerly Digital Chat Station sent A photo of the LCD screen of one of the new Redmi Note 9 series handsets. However, the hole punch was visible in the center of the screen. So it can be speculated that the leaked model could be another variant of the Redmi Note 9 series.

A previous report suggested that the Redmi Note 9 series will receive three new smartphones. One of the three models may be equipped with the ISOCELL HM2 sensor recently introduced by Samsung, which has a pixel size of 0.7 microns and a 108 megapixel sensor. This would be the first time Redmi has launched a smartphone with a 108 megapixel camera. Xiaomi had previously released phones with 108 megapixel snappers under the Mi branding.

Xiaomi also reportedly plans to launch a new Poco smartphone in the first half of December. Rumor houses suggest it could be a renamed Redmi Note 10.
