Realme ‘Race’ will be part of a new smartphone series starting in 2021

Realme ‘Race’ will be part of a new line of smartphones, Realme China President Chase Xu revealed on Weibo. The series could be the Realme Ace, which is supposedly similar to the Oppo Ace models. The code name Realme Race was announced by the Chinese company earlier this month. It has been linked to the flagship phone that will debut with the newly introduced Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. A render has surfaced online that, along with the new top-end model, could be part of the new Realme smartphone series.

Without giving details, Xu teased We can assume that the company’s flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC will hit the market sometime in the first quarter to compete against the Xiaomi Mi 11, which will be launched in China on December 28th.

Earlier this month, Realme announced that the Race will be among the first phones to feature the latest Snapdragon chipset. Madhav Sheth, CEO of Realme India, also mentioned that the phone will come to India in 2021. However, the company did not reveal any further details.

A render allegedly suggesting the design of the Realme Race surfaced shortly before the official announcement. That suggested a circular rearview camera module on the new smartphone – similar to the one we saw on the Oppo Ace 2 earlier this year.

In September, Oppo was told to end its Ace series of phones, and Realme was speculated to take the same position with its Ace series of phones, which is launching next year. This speculation was followed by a teaser published by Realme’s Xu in which he first suggested the arrival of the new smartphone series.

Although details on the upcoming Realme phones have not yet been officially released, a user is showed a render Propose a new model of the company in response to Xu’s latest contribution to Weibo. This could be part of the new series.
