PlayStation 5 users getting “Queued for download” Error: Report

PlayStation 5 users have a bug that prevents them from downloading certain games and apps. This error causes games and apps to be reportedly queued for download or stuck in an error state. This seems to happen the first time a product is downloaded. What’s even more frustrating than not being able to download a game is that the PS5 library will indicate that you own the game, but the PS5 store will indicate that you don’t.

According to a report PlayStation 5 was hit by IGN with its first error right after launch, citing users and its own employees. Users reported that their games and apps were no longer queued for download or had a download error. This happens the first time an item is downloaded and in that case nothing is listed in the Downloads menu. This prevents users from downloading or canceling the game to try to download it again.

The PS5 game library shows that you already own the game / app, but the PS5 store shows that you need to buy it.

IGN mentions that many user reports claim problems with the PS5 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, although the PS4 version of the game can be downloaded without any issues. Other users have reported issues with Godfall, Demon’s Souls, Spider-Man Remastered, Sackboy: A Great Adventure, and the Disney + app.

According to reports, users who contacted Activision regarding the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War issue were asked to factory reset their console, which resolved the issue. However, it would not be possible for all users to completely wipe their PS5’s memory in order to download these games. There doesn’t seem to be any other solution in sight.

Gadgets 360 has asked Sony for clarification on this bug and will update this report as soon as we hear something.
