PlayStation 5 games are region-free and can be streamed on PS4

PlayStation 5 games are region-free and allow you to play games released in other regions. Sony posted this via FAQ on its PlayStation blog. The company has also shared release deadlines for two of its main titles, Horizon Forbidden West and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. However, an exact date has not yet been announced. The PlayStation 4 has also released the PS5 Remote Play app, which allows users to stream their PS5 games on the PS4.

In a long list of FAQs Sony posted on PlayStation Blog that PlayStation 5 games do not contain regions. Games published outside of the country in which you purchased your console are safe to play. PlayStation 4 games were also region-free. The FAQs also revealed that the PS5 supports PlayStation Now – Sony’s cloud gaming subscription service – to stream and download supported games.

When Sony got on the release dates for Horizon Forbidden West and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, it released one Video It was announced on the PlayStation official YouTube channel that Horizon Forbidden West is expected to be released in the second half of 2021. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be released earlier and is expected to be released in the first half of 2021. Also, Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon Souls will be released on November 12th when the console launches in select regions.

In a recent update, Sony added the PS5 Remote Play app to PlayStation 4, which can be viewed right on the dashboard. The app allows users to stream a game from the PS5 to the PS4. The app lets you switch between 540p, 720p, and 1080p streaming.
