OnePlus 9 Render suggests what to expect from OnePlus next

OnePlus 9 rendering, which indicates that its key design elements have appeared on the web. The CAD-based rendering shows that the next generation OnePlus phone has a punch display similar to the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8T. The OnePlus 9 also appears to have triple rear cameras on the back. In addition to the rendering, a benchmark list was displayed online suggesting the OnePlus 9 specs. The new OnePlus smartphone is scheduled to hit the market in mid-March – a few weeks before the OnePlus 8 series starts in April.

The OnePlus 9 rendering, courtesy 91Mobiles, shows the front and back of the unannounced phone. It highlights the hole-punch display design that we’ve already seen on the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8T models. On the back of the phone, the triple rear camera appears to be oriented vertically – with two large girth camera sensors. In addition to the camera sensors, an LED flash is also visible. The OnePlus 9 may have one less camera sensor on the back when compared to the OnePlus 8T, which has four rear cameras.

OnePlus also seems to be keeping its alarm controls and volume rocker from the OnePlus 9. The rendering also suggests that the new phone might dump the headphone jack as well.

OnePlus 9 specs (expected)

Aside from the CAD-based rendering suggesting the OnePlus 9’s design, 91mobiles has leaked some of its key specs. The phone is said to have a 6.55-inch display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and is powered by an octa-core SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 875. It is also speculated to have 65W fast charge support. In addition to the leaked details, a phone with the model number LuBan has LE2117 appeared on the benchmark site Geekbench. The model number is assigned to the OnePlus 9 as noticed from a Weibo user.

The Geekbench list suggests that the OnePlus 9 runs on Android 11 and has 8GB of RAM. The listing also seems to have suggested the Snapdragon 875 SoC on the smartphone. Additionally, the phone gets a single-core rating of 1,122 and a multi-core rating of 2,733.

OnePlus has not yet announced any official details about the OnePlus 9. It is therefore safe to look at the details that have emerged with a pinch of salt.
