MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC Smartphones will soon be launched in India

MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ flagship SoC-based 5G smartphones from leading brands are expected to launch in India in early 2021, the company announced. MediaTek also says its Dimensity series of 5G chipsets will power the next wave of 5G devices in the country. According to the company, the Dimensity 1000+ is the world’s most advanced integrated 5G SoC with advanced power saving technologies that enable phone manufacturers to deliver premium experiences to Indian customers. The flagship chipset was launched in May of this year.

In a press release, MediaTek says the Indian market is prepared for the “seamless connectivity and transformation speed” of 5G. “MediaTek is at the forefront of the global 5G revolution and we continue to work with popular smartphone brands to bring 5G-enabled devices to Indian consumers. Our flagship MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ offers a first-class experience when the Indian telecommunications authorities are rapidly deploying 5G in the country, ”said Dr. Yenchi Lee, Vice President of MediaTek’s Wireless Communications Business Unit.

As already mentioned, the 7 nm SoC MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ was launched in May of this year. The 5G chip offers optimizations for faster frame rates and offers functions such as HyperEngine 2.0, UltraSave Technologies and MiraVision Picture Quality Engine support. The MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC supports panels with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and integrates a new HyperEngine 2.0 technology that improves the gaming performance of the smartphone. It is also claimed to offer a more stable 5G experience with fewer disruptions on video and voice calls. The phone switches to 5G when gaming and to 4G when in standby, as stated by the company.

There’s also a new 5G UltraSave technology that can save you battery life even when you’re using 5G networks. MediaTek claims that the 7nm Dimensity 1000+ SoC consumes about 48 percent less power than other competing chips. It has low latency anti-jamming technology and the latest MiraVision technology that improves image quality and enhances video playback.
