Lenovo unveiled a range of new business laptops at CES 2021 specifically designed for mobile professionals who work from home or office.
The company’s new line of ThinkBook laptops includes the new ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i, ThinkBook 13x i, ThinkBook 14p Gen 2, and ThinkBook 16p Gen 2. These new devices are made of aluminum materials with a distinctive two-tone finish and are built in – Cutting-edge technologies such as Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos support for selected models and TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe Display certification to improve the user experience.
The new ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 has an improved e-ink display with a larger usable area of 12 inches and a resolution of 2560 x 1600. The laptop also has a new 16:10 display with weak blue light and an almost borderless screen experience .
Taking notes on the e-ink display on the lid of the ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 is now easier than on the previous model because Lenovo has improved performance with a better refresh rate. At the same time, the company has redesigned and redesigned the device’s e-ink user interface to provide more intuitive access to frequently used information. Productivity apps can now run on the ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 without opening the lid.
Stylish and sophisticated
Lenovo also announced its new compact ThinkBook 13x i, available in either Storm Gray or Cloud Gray. The device is one of the thinnest 13-inch business laptops, only 12.9 mm thick and weighing less than 1.2 kg.
In addition to the e-ink display, the ThinkBook 13x i offers all the functions of the ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i, including the Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Thunderbolt 4 connections. The laptop is powered by an 11th generation Intel Core processor Wi-Fi 6 and a 53 watt hour battery so users can work from anywhere.
The ThinkBook 14p and 16p are powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 9 5000 H series mobile processors for maximum performance. These laptops are ideal for video conferencing as they can be equipped with an optional Full HD webcam protected by a physical ThinkShutter cover, while an AI-based noise-canceling algorithm suppresses ambient noise.
The Lenovo ThinkBook 14p is a thin and light notebook that can be configured with a 14-inch 2.8k OLED display with VESA Display HDR True Black standard. Optional next-generation Nvidia GeForce RTX discrete graphics are also available to complement AMD Ryzen’s processing power and provide a high-performance laptop with a 16-inch (2560 x 1600) display.
All new ThinkBook models from Lenovo will be available in the first quarter of this year. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i starts at $ 1,549 (£ 1139), the ThinkBook 13x i starts at $ 1,199 (£ 875), and the ThinkBook 14p starts at $ 849 (£ 875). £ 622) and the ThinkBook 16p starts at $ 1299 (£ 889).
