Lava launches BeFIT Fitness Band and Zup Phone upgrade program

The Lava BeFIT fitness band was launched in India. The company hosted a virtual event on Thursday that also showcased new Z-Series smartphones, a customizable phone, and a smartphone upgrade program. Lava’s BeFIT band is the company’s first smart band and allows you to keep track of your daily activities and monitor your body temperature, heart rate and more. Lava BeFIT has a color display with a single touch-sensitive button. With the smartphone upgrade plan called Zup, users can upgrade the RAM and storage of their phones within the first year of purchase.

The Lava BeFIT fitness band is priced at Rs. 2,699 and will be available on Amazon, Lava websiteand offline stores from January 26th. There is a single black color option.

Lava BeFIT fitness band specifications

Lava BeFIT has a small color display with a touch-sensitive button at the bottom. It has all-day activity tracking and various features for tracking and maintaining health, including temperature, heart rate and SpO2 monitoring. It also has an auto sleep mode. As a smart band, the Lava BeFIT can forward your phone’s notifications, including SMS, email and social media notifications. The Lava BeFIT also offers GPS tracking, sedentary reminders, vibrating alerts, run plans, and water resistance. The company has not yet disclosed any information on battery life.

Lava Zup upgrade program

Together with the Lava BeFIT fitness band, the company presented its Z-series smartphones, including Lava Z1, Lava Z2, Lava Z4 and Lava Z6. As mentioned earlier, Lava also introduced the Zup program, which allows you to upgrade the phones’ RAM and storage within the first year of purchase. Lava announced that customers can pay Rs. 1,949 to upgrade their phones from a 2GB + 32GB configuration to a 4GB + 64GB configuration. This upgrade plan applies to the Lava Z2, Lava Z4, Lava Z6 and myZ customizable phone models. The Zup program will also be available from January 26th.

To upgrade their phone, customers can book their appointment in a service center in advance and get an upgrade on site. The upgrades are limited to RAM and storage only. According to Lava, there will be no data loss during the update process and the company will take care of your data. The phone’s warranty is related to the phone itself, not the updated components. Customers can also upgrade to any level, but cannot downgrade.
