Launch of Acer smart speakers, laptops, AIOs and gaming monitors

Acer has launched a number of new products including a smart speaker, laptops, AIOs, and monitors. The smart speaker is called the Acer Halo. New laptop models include the Acer Swift 3x, the Porsche Design Acer Book RS, the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 and the Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 513. The all-in-one devices (AIOs) include the Acer Chromebox CXI4 and Acer Chromebox Enterprise CXI4. Gaming monitors include the Acer Predator XB273U NV, Predator XB253Q GW, Predator XB323U GX, Predator X34 GS, Acer Nitro XV272U KV, and Acer Nitro XV272 LV.

Acer smart speakers, laptops, AIOs, monitors: price, availability

The Acer Halo Smart Speaker is priced at $ 109 (approximately $ 8,000) and will be available in North America in the first quarter of next year. The price for the Acer Swift 3x is $ 899.99 (around Rs 66,300) and will go on sale in December. The Porsche Design Acer Book RS costs $ 1,399.99 (approximately 1.03 lakh). Acer Chromebook Spin 513 starts at $ 399.99 (approximately $ 29,500) and will be available in North America next February. Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 513 will be priced at $ 699.99 as of March (approximately $ 51,600). Acer Chromebox CXI4 will be available in North America in the first quarter of 2021 and will start at $ 259.99 (approximately Rs. 19,200). The enterprise version of the Acer Chromebox CXI4 will be available from US $ 409.99 (approx. US $ 30,200).

The Acer Predator XB273U NV starts at $ 549.99 (about $ 40,500) and will go on sale in January next year. The Predator XB253Q GW starts at $ 429.99 (about Rs 31,700), the Predator XB323U GX starts at $ 899.99 (about Rs. 66,300), the Predator X34 GS starts at $ 999.99 (about Rs. 73,700) and is available in North America from December. Nitro XV272U KV starts at $ 399.99 (approximately Rs. 29,500) and Nitro XV272 LV starts at $ 279.99 (approximately Rs. 20,700) with availability in December.

Acer Halo specifications

The Acer Halo Smart Speaker is a Google Assistant compatible speaker with support for DTS sound. The design enables high quality audio to be projected 360 degrees. There is an optional LED display and RGB lighting on the base. The Acer Halo also comes with two omnidirectional far-field microphones. There is also a physical switch that can mute the microphones.

Acer Swift 3x specifications

The Acer Swift 3x has a 14-inch Full HD IPS screen with 72 percent of the NTSC color gamut and a screen-to-body ratio of 84 percent. It is powered by the 11th generation Intel Core processor with discrete Intel Iris Xe MAX graphics. It has a claimed battery life of up to 17.5 hours. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 (Gig +), USB-C, Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Gen 2. The Acer Swift 3x weighs 1.37 kg.

Porsche Design Acer Book RS specifications

The Porsche Design Acer Book RS has an all-metal housing and is powered by an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor and an Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU. It has a 14-inch Full HD display with a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent, 16 GB of RAM and a claimed battery life of 17 hours. You get dual-band Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig +), a full range of ports (USB-C, Thunderbolt 4, and USB 3.2 Gen 2), and Windows Hello support.

Acer Chromebook Spin Series Specifications

The Acer Chromebook Spin series includes the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 and the Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 513. The company says this will be the first notebook to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c processor. The graphics are processed by the Qualcomm Adreno 618 GPU. The Chromebook Spin 513 has a battery life of up to 14 hours, optional 4G connectivity, a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display and a weight of only 1.2 kg. You get up to 8 GB LPDDR4X SDRAM and up to 128 GB memory.

The enterprise version offers additional “security, corporate functions and cost savings”. It has 4G LTE a swell.

Acer Chromebox CXI4, Acer Chromebox CXI4 Enterprise specifications

The Acer Chromebox CXI4 and Chromebox CXI4 Enterprise are powered by an Intel Core i7 processor of the 10th generation, up to five USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C port and two HDMI ports and are AIO systems that only need a display to give a complete desktop experience. You also get Intel Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and an RJ45 connector.

Acer Gaming monitors the technical data

The Acer Predator XB273U NV has an Agile Splendor IPS display with 27 inch QHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), a refresh rate of up to 170 Hz and a claimed response time of 1 ms. It has 95 percent DCI-P3 color spectrum coverage and a Delta E of less than 1. You get VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, RGB LightSense, and the stand allows tilt, pan, height, and swivel adjustments.

The Predator XB253Q GW has a 24.5-inch Full HD IPS panel (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) with Nvidia G-Sync support, a refresh rate of up to 280 Hz and a response time of up to 0.5 ms (G to G) and RGB LightSense. The Acer Predator XB323U GX has a 32-inch QHD panel (2560 x 1440 pixels) with a refresh rate of 270 Hz and a response time of up to 0.5 ms (G to G). You get 99 percent AdobeRGB coverage, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, and 8-bit image processing with local dimming.

The Acer Predator X34 GS has a 34-inch UWQHD screen (3,440 x 1,440 pixels) with an Agile Splendor IPS panel and Nvidia G-Sync support. You get a refresh rate of up to 180 Hz and an ultra-fast response time of 0.5 ms (G to G). The monitor also has VESA DisplayHDR 400 and 98 percent DCI-P3 frequency coverage. You also get two built-in 7 W speakers.

The Acer Nitro XV272U KV and the Nitro XV272 LV are 27-inch gaming monitors. The Nitro XV272U KV has a QHD display (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) with up to 170 Hz and a response time of 1 ms (G to G) on an Agile Splendor IPS panel. On the other hand, the Nitro XV272 LV has a Full HD Agile Splendor IPS panel (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) with a DCI-P3 color coverage of 90 percent and a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz.
