iQoo 7 is offering 120W fast charging ahead of January 11th launch

iQoo 7 will be equipped with 120 W fast charging support, announced the sub-brand Vivo in China. The introduction of the iQoo 7 BMW Edition was recently confirmed on January 11th and is powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC. The regular version of the iQoo 7 is expected to come onto the market together with the BMW Edition. However, the company has not disclosed details of the regular version. iQoo posted a poster on Weibo revealing support for 120W fast charging along with the launch date, but not listing any other specs of the upcoming phone.

According to a post Office The iQoo 7 series comes from iQoo’s Weibo handle with 120W fast charge support. Presumably this includes both the regular and BMW editions of the phone. The poster also says that the phone charges to 100 percent in just 15 minutes.

iQoo recently confirmed through separate posts on Weibo that the iQoo 7 BMW Edition will feature the latest Snapdragon 888 SoC, an extended version of the LPDDR5 RAM and an extended version of the UFS 3.1 memory. It will come with 5G support too. iQoo 7 will be the official slot machine for the KPL Games (King Pro League) esports event in China that the company previously announced.

Previous teasers from iQoo indicated that the BMW edition of the phone will come with a triple rearview camera similar to the Vivo V20 2021. The phone will also feature BMW M Motorsport tri-color stripes on the back that run from top to bottom.

The rest of the specs remain a mystery and the company is expected to release more information about the iQoo 7 in advance of its January 11 launch. The company will hold a launch event in China at 7:30 p.m. local time (5:00 p.m. EST).

A report last week stated that iQoo could launch three to four new smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC before the Spring Festival in China ends on February 12, 2021.
