Honor band 6 starts on November 3rd, larger display expected

Honor Band 6 will start on November 3rd. Honor says the Honor Band 6 will usher in a new era of portable full screen mode and that “this time it will be different”. Along with the announcement, the Huawei sub-brand teased an image that suggests a narrow, larger screen. Not much information is currently available about the Honor Band 6. It is likely that the smart band will initially only be introduced in China and will find its way onto international markets after a few months.

The imminent start was announced on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The teaser image glanced at the display, and in a caption that accompanied the teaser, Honor spoke of “breaking the fetters of boundaries and experiencing a wider horizon”. In the comments on the Weibo post, users have expressed their hopes for Honor’s upcoming Smart Band, which will include better battery life, a bigger screen, and smarter heart rate monitoring features.

The Smart Band is expected to have features similar to the Honor Band 5 launched last year, but with some improvements. It is likely that, like its predecessor, the Honor Band 6 will have multiple sport modes and health monitoring features like heart rate monitoring.

The Honor Band 5 has an AMOLED full color display, multiple dials and a real-time heart rate monitor. It is available in the color options Midnight Navy, Coral Pink and Meteorite Black. The sub-brand Huawei also launched the Honor Band 5i in the color options Meteorite Black, Coral Powder and Olive Green last year. The Honor Band 5i has a colored display panel as well as functions for heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking.
