Google One Plans More Than 10TB Of Storage Get Significant Discounts

Parent Google One plans have received a 50 percent price cut. The new move comes a little over a month after Google pushed users to buy a Google One plan by announcing the end of unlimited free backups through Google Photos. The search giant also brought a 15GB storage cap for Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, and Jamboard files to encourage people to buy its paid cloud storage plans. Google One debuted in the US in August 2018 as a response from Google to Apple’s iCloud and as an upgrade to the existing Google Drive service.

As reported from 9to5Google, Google announced a price cut of 50 percent to 10 TB, 20 TB and 30 TB of Google One. “If you already have a qualification plan, you will automatically see savings,” the publication quoted Google as saying.

Google is offering the 10TB storage plan for $ 49.99 (about Rs. 3,700) per month compared to $ 99.99 (about Rs. 7,300). That’s now the cost of the previously available 20TB plan for $ 199.99 (about Rs 14,700) per month. Similarly, the 30 TB plan has been cut from $ 299.99 (about Rs. 22,000) to $ 199.99 per month. It’s important to note that Google One plans with up to 2TB of storage are available for both monthly and yearly fees. However, the parent plans can only be selected on a monthly basis.

Plans include dedicated support from Google experts, the option to share storage with your family, and a free VPN for Android devices. There is also an option to enable automatic phone backups.

For users in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, and Australia, Google One’s top-end plans also offer 10 percent cashback on purchases from the Google Store.

Google doesn’t offer discounts on the 100GB, 200GB, and 2TB storage plans that also offer benefits like dedicated support and family sharing.
