Google Chromecast users will have access to Apple TV services in early 2021

Apple’s TV app and paid streaming service Apple TV + will be available on Google’s newest Chromecast device early next year, the search giant announced on Wednesday.

Apple has sometimes reserved access to its services for its own ecosystem of hardware devices in the past, but has recently softened attitudes to grow its service business.

Google said in one blog entry that Apple TV will be available on more devices with the Android TV operating system in the future.

Google said last week that Apple Music would be available on Google Smart Speakers. Google Assistant-enabled devices like Nest Audio, Nest Hub Max, and Nest Mini have support for Apple Music. Google announced that Apple Music will be available for assistant-enabled smart speakers and displays in France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the US. You can choose Apple Music as the default music streaming service. You can then tell the Google Assistant to play a track or playlist. This is streamed through the service. Apple’s music streaming service connects Spotify and YouTube Premium.

Last year, Apple made the TV app available on Amazon’s Fire TV devices and on the Roku platform. Fire TV stick owners can install the Apple TV app by looking for the Apple TV app in the Apps section. When you find the Apple TV app, click the Get button to install it. You can also go straight to the Apple TV app list on the Amazon website and download the app.
