Google Assistant gets new triggers for sunrise and sunset routines

According to reports, the Google Assistant is getting a new feature that allows users to select sunrise and sunset as the trigger to start a routine. The routine setup page, which can be accessed through the Google Home app or the Google Assistant settings, is also reportedly being redesigned with a simplified view. The new option to trigger a routine with sunset or sunrise will appear alongside the existing voice command and time options on the Routine Setup page in screenshots displayed on Reddit. The redesign also seems to only leave two sections on the page for creating a new routine – “How to Start” and “This Routine Will”.

The Google Assistant can start your custom routine based on the time of day for a given location.
