Facebook is launching dark mode in its main app

Facebook is finally rolling out its dark mode feature for more Android and iOS users in the main app. The social networking platform, in collaboration with the well-known reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong, announced on Twitter that it is publicly testing dark mode on mobile devices. A few months ago, Facebook confirmed plans to support Dark Mode for the mobile app and began making the feature available to a limited number of users. it was expanding right now.

Jane Manchun Wong announced the public testing of the Facebook Dark Mode function in a video collaboration with Alexandru Voica. To enable Dark Mode, go to the Settings menu at the top right of the app and click on Settings and Privacy. If Dark Mode was introduced for you, it’s available here as an option that you can tap to activate. In particular, the feature is still not available to all users and only increases the number of Android and iOS users who have access to it.

Facebook is the parent company of apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger, all of which support dark mode. So it’s surprising that the tech giant has waited so long to deliver the expected function for its main application.

Facebook discontinued its classic design in September, so it is required to use the new Facebook interface that was introduced earlier this year. The new design, which was introduced in March, supports Dark Mode on the desktop.

Messenger also has a dark mode option for users from last year. The function has also been available on Facebook Lite for a few months. So it was only a matter of time before it was rolled out to the main Facebook app.
