Apple AirTags will soon be introduced in two sizes

Apple AirTags ultra-broadband trackers have been in the news for a while. They were expected to be featured at the company’s events in September and October, but that apparently didn’t happen. Now a new leak suggests that there is still hope for these, and they are expected to start soon. Apple is rumored to be launching new AirPods in November, and the company might be showing off those AirTags on the side. Previous leaks suggest that AirTags are designed to support magnetic charging and be completely waterproof.

Tipster L0vetodream released two Tweets This suggests that the Apple AirTags will be available soon and may come in two sizes – large and small. The tipster does not provide exact details on when these trackers might finally see a start, but offers hope not to give them up just yet.

The well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had predicted earlier this year that these AirTags or Apple tags could be introduced in 2020 itself. He added that the Cupertino giant itself will produce tens of millions of Apple Tags this year.

It was expected to be released at WWDC in the first half of 2020, but Apple had it back then, or even during its September event that featured the iPad Air (2020), the 8th generation iPad, the Apple Watch SE and the Apple Watch Series 6 were unofficial, were not officially unveiled, nor were they revealed during the October iPhone 12 series event.

Now rumor has it that Apple will host another event for the expected AirPods Studio in November, and those AirTags could then finally be launched. YouTuber Jon Prosser earlier this month recommended that Apple postponed the launch of the trackers to March 2021 due to several production issues.

On every launch, Apple AirTags are expected to work with the iPhone to provide location tracking of lost items. The functionality is somewhat similar to that of Bluetooth trackers from companies such as San Mateo, California-based Tile. AirTags is essentially designed to help users find their important items using a mobile app.
