Amazfit has expanded its rapidly growing range of wearables with two new smartwatches: Amazfit GTS 2 Mini and Pop Pro.
It’s been a busy year for Amazfit (owned by Chinese tech giant Huami), releasing GTS 2, GTR 2 and T-Rex, among others, and the company is showing no signs of slowing down.
If you think the Amazfit Pop Pro (above) looks a lot like the original Pop (also known in the Bip U in India), you’re right – the two appear to have almost identical designs and specifications.
The main differences are that the new Pop Pro has built-in GPS which makes it a much better option for runners and cyclists, as well as a built-in microphone for use with Xiao AI. We don’t know yet if the Pop Pro will be available worldwide, but we’ll see to it that it hits internationally.
That shrinking feeling
As the name suggests, the GTS 2 Mini (below) is essentially a scaled-down version of the GTS 2 with slightly more modest features. The display measures 1.55 inches (reduced from 1.66 inches) and a smaller battery with an estimated seven days between charges (half of the full size GTS 2).
However, the GTS 2 Mini is still capable of stress tracking and SpO2 monitoring, which could make it a tempting proposition for anyone looking for a feature-rich smartwatch on a budget.
The price in China is 699 yuan, which is about 100 USD / 80 GBP / 150 AU $. However, we also assume that the price will be higher overseas. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we learn more.
